In a discussion with Mark Zuckerberg, Mr Noah Horari said that he was more concerned about Future Robots hacking our Minds rather than of Revolting against us. He also pointed out that the AI backed technology would be so powerful that it would be able to correctly predict what do we want even before we know it ourselves. He may not seem to be right about it but he isn’t completely wrong either.
What do I think of Future??
I had a few questions until this morning & maybe they’ll stay for a long time. But that doesn’t mean that the answers won’t change. So here are some questions which I asked myself along with the answers I could come up with (also by myself), haha..!!.
1) Where would we live in the future?
A) With the current growth rate we would cross 10 billion mark in a few decades, India being the most Populous country followed by China. Population may keep on growing but available land will be scarce. We would be forced to find a habitable land or to create one. We may go for the following alternatives
i. Creating our own islands on the salty oceans just like the palm island in Dubai( Currently the only islands we are raising are the Garbage Islands)
ii. Creating roads & railways between & above the tallest buildings so that it saves the space on Ground
iii. Billionaires & Upper level Millionaires will have holiday homes on Mars
(Elon Musk being the first Permanent Green Card holder)
iv. Creating antholes in hills (Only if Environmentalists lose the battle with politicians)
2) What would we do in the future??
A) This question is my personal favourite. Today we are attracting a lot of technological advances in almost every field, but there will come a time when we will start repelling those advances. AI will be able to create its own literature like Novels, Thesis, Paintings & whatever the word Literature contains. Robots will become cheap servants. Manual work will be Delegated. Fitness industry will thrive. Nuclear tensions will increase. Most importantly, the music will have to be original as there will be no song left to make a remix of..!! So the question remains, what would we be doing then??
Mmm….I don’t know. But I would be reading physical books…!!!
3) What will we eat?
A) Certainly not some aliens..!! But who knows.
4) Will there be some superhumans??
A) Definitely. Most of them would be the billionaires who can afford the most advanced AI technology. Capes will be regarded as costumes of Apes.
5) Would we ever become happy as a civilization?
A) In 2020 Matthieu Ricard was the Happiest Person of Earth.(Atleast as per Mr. Google) At the country level, Finland was the Happiest country among the 153 countries( Source: World Happines Report 2020). Even if we straight away copy everything from Matthieu or Finnish people, we wont achieve happiness as circumstances differ. But one thing is certain, we all can be happy only if we choose to.
The purpose of Putting this in Question-Answer format is to make sure that all the readers understand that our future would be awesome in some aspects. But only if some of us dare to question the existing knowledge. Without questions, there would be no quest for finding answers. And if there is no quest for finding answers, we will become stagnant.
So
Let’s explore the Joy of Questioning ..!!
